Day 1: Ngorongoro crater

Morning: Arrival & Crater Descent Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater Rim, you’ll begin your descent into the crater itself, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see wildlife. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife, and you’re likely to spot a variety of species.

Afternoon: You will have lunch. The picnic sites inside the crater offer great opportunities to take in the surroundings while enjoying a relaxing meal.After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive on the crater floor. This is a great time to look for wildlife, especially predators like lions and hyenas, which are often seen in the afternoon as they become more active.

Evening: In the late evening, after an incredible day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National park

Morning: After breakfast you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara is known for its diverse ecosystems, including forests, savannah, and the large alkaline lake that the park is named after. Begin your game drive in Lake Manyara, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare and unique sight. The park is also home to large herds of elephants, flamingos (especially during the wet season), giraffes, and an abundance of bird species.

Afternoon: Enjoy a break at a picnic site or at a lodge in the park.after lunch you will continue exploring the park in the afternoon. Depending on the time of year, the lake might have vast flocks of flamingos, as well as a wide variety of other birds. The park’s unique ecosystems make it a great spot for both wildlife and photography.

Evening: After your afternoon game drive, you’ll head back to Arusha (about 2 hours), where you’ll either continue on with your travel plans or catch a flight if you’re departing.
